Fairgame is a digital application that has one sole purpose – to make your experience as a golfer more enjoyable. It will do this by allowing users to find the games they want with the people they want to play them with.
A tool that will make you better at golf. There are thousands of those – maybe even a few that work – but this is about the experience of being a golfer as opposed to the skills required to play it. This is not a coach or a caddy; this is your super understanding, but well-connected best friend in the game that just wants you to see golf for the good in the game. We do happen to think that Fairgame will make you love golf in a new way, and it’ll surely get you on the course more, so if we had to guess, yeah, you’ll get better once you start using Fairgame regularly.
Fairgame was built out of love – we want people to enjoy golf the way they want to, with the people they want. The app is currently free to use for golfers across the country. We’ve just getting started and will continue to make the app the best possible tool for you and your crew.
Fairgame is currently available for use in the United States, Australia and New Zealand with more countries and regions to come in the future. Stay tuned!
As a team of golf nerds, we’ve used just about every app out there. And when it comes to GPS, the options available on the market are good… but not great. We want to ensure that whatever we put out there is completely accurate. With that in mind, our app currently does not offer GPS. We’ll continue to refine our app every day to make it the best tool for golfers.
Definitely. Every Fairgame account comes with a free Fairgame Handicap Index; allowing you to easily track your game and seamlessly play with golfers and every skill level. Check out this page learn more about the Fairgame Handicap. There is also the WHS (World Handicap System) and you can participate in it by signing up for a GHIN through the USGA. This will come in handy for sanctioned tournaments and access to certain courses, etc.
Absolutely not. Fairgame focuses on breaking down the barriers to entry into the game itself by allowing you to find people just like you, and even people just like you, that are near you via social profiles and geo-tagging. It will keep basic scoring and game playing statistics for you too, but only if you want to. If you want to just use it as a way to meet people and organize some games, that’s totally cool.
We can help you there, too. By giving you the option to search for similarly skilled players, or even those who have the same ambition levels as you, or perhaps play at the same clubs as you, you’ll be connected to thousands (or hundreds, or dozens, or just one) new folks that can be future playing partners, or dare we say, even friends! We will also offer the opportunity to track your scoring at a fairly robust level so that you can see trends in index, fairways, greens in regulations, putts, and hazard recovery.
We sure can. Fairgame’s fundamental capabilities include just that. So you can set up a match already and even manage wagers, pushes, and all sorts of stuff that will make your on-course experience better than trying to figure out strokes each hole. Down the road, we might even be able to help you settle those bets via ApplePay or Venmo right within the app.
Indeed it is! Fairgame is about helping you find the game of golf that you are looking for. So you don’t have to track scores or handicaps at all – you can use it purely as a way to meet new people in the game of golf that are looking to experience the game in the same way as you. That's the beauty of this game – it means different things to every single person, and we want to celebrate and encourage that.
Great question. We’ve given a lot of thought to the “off course” Fairgame experience because we’ve all been there – dying to get out, but just don’t have the time. So you’ll be able to follow along the games and matches of your friends and even some very public figures on the app. Imagine sitting on the couch with your newborn watching your four best friends across the country go at it in a stroke play match and having the ability to comment and post on the scores and shots!
Golf is the most social game in the world, and we want people to experience that even when they can’t be on the course. Just remember, anything you say about them when they put that ball in the water for the third time, they’ll throw right back at you. We also offer a bi-weekly podcast hosted Andrew Haynes, our Creative Director that highlights new voices, brand and experience in the game. You can also check out our YouTube page for more original content from our team. We’ve got you covered!
If you’re having issues of any kind, please reach out to our team at hello@fairgame.co. We take all feedback seriously and aim to rectify any issues as soon as possible.
